FORMER CLASSMATE IS WORLD RECORD HOLDER

The CHS Class of 1928 may have produced Carteret's greatest ever Baseball player -- Joe "Ducky" Medwick, but our class can brag about the feats of one of our own in the world of Fishing.

Bill "Gaucho" Toth (pictured in the center at left), caught this 230lb perch while fishing in crocodile infested waters of the Nile River near the Sudan. It has been certified by the IGFA as a world record. Looks like those days as a kid fishing for "Sunnies" at Carteret Park paid off for Bill. Who would have "thunk it" back then? As indicated in the Post below, our beloved "Gaucho" has led quite an adventurous life.
