RALPH SAMUEL DENTON AGE: 70 JACKSON CHS Alumni

Ralph Samuel Denton, 70, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at home. He was born in Carteret and resided there before moving to Jackson 12 years ago. He was employed as a boiler operator-stationary engineer at Point Pleasant Hospital, Point Pleasant for 17 years before retiring in 2004. Ralph was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Denton was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Denton; and his brother, Robert Denton. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Patricia Denton; his two sons, Ralph Denton of Edison, and Keith Malyar of Carteret; his five daughters, Diane Hepworth, Valerie Nespole, and Dawn Petro of Carteret, Tabitha Mischler of Monroe, and Carole Clax of Jackson; his two brothers, William Denton of Belvidere, and Raymond Denton of Stroudsburg, Pa.; his three sisters, Sharon Denton of Belvidere, Joyce Smith of Virginia, and Kathy Blake of Georgia; his four stepchildren, Robert, Kristine, David, and Stephan; his 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29 at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. A private cremation will follow.
